Sue Scarre - Mindfulness Coach

My name is Sue Scarre and I'm committed to teaching both children and adults about mindfulness to enhance their overall wellbeing. It took me until 2018 before my true passion for mindfulness began to sink in and I understood all of its benefits, both in the workplace and in my personal life. I have a BA (QTS) in education, a Diploma in Mindfulness and I'm an accredited practitioner for Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. I hold a current advanced-level DBS Certificate.

Over my twenty years as a teacher in primary education, I became increasingly aware of children who were experiencing stress, anxiety and low self-esteem, even as young as five and six years of age. After leaving teaching, I became interested in mindfulness and how this practice helps overall mental wellbeing, and promotes a more positive outlook. In my view, children should start learning about mindfulness in their early years. Both in schools and as a personal coach, I help children gain the tools to tap into their feelings and let go of negative thoughts about the past and worries for the future. Mindfulness helps them discover their potential and to go through life with a kind, open, and non-judgemental mindset.

I also offer my coaching services and MBCBT to adults, both private and within a corporate setting. I'm based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Contact me to see how I can help.
